The underlying story is developing beyond just a gay female police chief in a major city. Edie Falco is doing a superb job acting. Casting for the Mayor of Los Angeles and his office are weak. Enjoyable entertainment and beats a lot of the reality TV on CBS and other networks. Story could be a bit more gritty as the endings are somewhat predictable. Hope they renew it for a second season.
