This show feels like someone who never watched anime made their own anime based off of the stereotypes surrounding anime. Itโs Bland, cringe, uninspiring, stiff and a slow boring try hard effort of a show. If anyone claims itโs good from an โanime perspectiveโ, they are probably the type of person that shoves whatever anime content that comes out of Japan down their gob and asks for more. Thereโs good and bad writers everywhere in the world and thereโs people who canโt tell the difference between quality entertainment and pretty colors, flashy scenes and bold character designs. *That being said, I personally found that The Ninth Jedi, by far, best represented what star wars could be as an anime. It was exciting from start to finish! 5 stars for The Ninth Jedi*
Iโve said in the past that star wars would make a better anime than live action show, but now I see thatโs only if itโs written by actual established anime writers. The fights were boring, which was especially disappointing, and even though they were short stories they were not stirring at all, thatโs where I had hoped Japanese story writing styles really had a chance to elevate the Star Wars franchise along side Mando and Rogue One.
*If youโre new to anime please donโt let this set your standards for anime, this is not the witty, deep and intrinsic story writing that is usually associated with anime. This was uncomfortably doused with stereotypical Japanese culture like samurai influences (a shallow effort I feel to appeal to action junkies) and while I feel this would have made for a few cool characters and lightsaber designs, heck even cool ships and droids, as a theme I feel it grossly misrepresented Japanese story writing in a very ignorant way. Again This does not represent my view of The Ninth Jedi episode. That one felt like an actual series and It left me wanting to see more!*
