Way more entertaining than I expected (I'm not really an action fan) and imho it was just really well written. The action scenes were amazing to watch and felt "fresh", and the emotional motivations of the characters were, to me, completely believable. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese setting and it didn't at all feel like just another "white movie" set in Japan.

I expected a relatively entertaining children's movie and I was pleasantly surprised by how much more I liked it. Though it also had just a few too many songs for my liking, it was overall thoroughly enjoyable.

It might be set in Victorian London (ahem, for the most part) -- but it's a new and refreshing concept for me. Can't wait for s2.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't one of the world's most famous and richest celebrities being incredibly thoughtful and sincere in wanting to be a better person, and in wanting the world to be a better place.
