The visual effects are incredible! Unfortunately that’s where the positives stop. The voice acting is just as flat as the facial expressions on the characters’ faces. Also, apparently the actual ability to sing is not required. The songs are reminiscent of a karaoke night. Lastly, the visuals are too realistic for a children’s movie. As a parent who grew up on Disney movies, I can enjoy this movie. As a young child seeing this movie for the first time, I would be scared and confused. This is unfortunately the theme for all of the remakes Disney has been making, well except for Star Wars. That’s it’s own catastrophe.
