This is a review of the 2021 COMEDY drama, not the 2018 sci-fi drama that several confused reviewers are leaving here.
"How it Ends" was filled in 2020 during lockdowns, and I love how in a lot of ways this feels like a senior year film class project. Many of Zoe Lister-Jones' previous castmates have cameos along Liza's Odyssean journey, and it feels like she's traipsing through her own neighborhood, asking who wants to help her out and bring their funny. For an apocalyptic comedy, "How it Ends" brings all the feels when you discover why Liza's mini-me (who she has amazing chemistry with) is with her.
For a strange, silly, and fun watch, I highly recommend checking out "How it Ends." You'll find yourself craving a giant stack of pancakes, and wondering who you most want to witness the end of the world with.
