Because I love ballet, I was anxious to watch this special. While the dancing did not disappoint (the dancers are still young and not at full potential), I was bored by the constant change in affection and attention to one another. After a while the dream sequences were overdrawn and the characters changed friendships and allegiance like they changed their ballet shoes. For someone that wants to really see ballet, there are so many other movies or documentaries that are infinitely better. But it is ballet fluff.
