It is certainly silly. The action scenes are over the top as so many are. There’s a bit from the trailer that somehow got left in, and other absurdities. And still, part of me wishes that there could be someone like Adam Clay (Stratham) or Jack Bauer or Jack Ryan one of the other Jacks, who could take out the sleazy scum who steal people’s money and lives, without ever getting the wrong guy. Where stray bullets never kill innocent people. That’s why I watch things like this. If you feel the same, have a look at The Beekeeper. Don’t expect anything realistic, but sit back and enjoy. You should know that my own mother was scammed. Not like in the movie, but it still sucked. I got a call from one of the scammers on her phone. At least I got to rip him a new one.

How can a celebrated Indian director helm a series that, like a hundred bad novels, sends an heroic White Savior® to fix India? It makes me long for "Indian Summers" which at least mostly succeeded in creating British and Indian characters of all stripes.

Gorgeous cinematography and measured performances. A plot we (should) all know, but still can enjoy.
