I think I am possibly the only person that after 2 episodes so far, does not like the more comical tone and lack of intrigue...

They had the opportunity to add a twist, by having Freddy be innocent of rhe crimes the parents killed him for, then comeback to punish their children. Wasted opportunity and pointless remake.

It gets one star as it is better than Section 31 and after 2 episodes (well the pilot split in two), it may be slightly better than Discovery. It's generic Scifi dressed up as Star Trek, injected with current, modern sensibilities without trying to extrapolate on the future at all. Even the language is 21st century.

Essential viewing at the time. Shouldn’t be tarnished by who Bill turned out to be in real life.

Seen so many Vietnam documentaries. This was a good one, liked the use of the first person accounts. Can’t believe the age of the soldiers now, time passes so quickly. The only small gripe I have is Ethan Hawkes narration feeling a bit like a Batman impression.

Apart from the first film, which I enjoyed. Instalments 2 and 3 did nothing for me and I gave up after that. Something about Fast X made me give the franchise another go. I wish I hadn’t, awful script, bad acting, couldn’t even switch my brain off and enjoy.

Doesn’t get enough marketing, only just found this unexpected gem

I did not expect to like this..... I’m enjoying it though, good cast although MJB is a bit wooden.
