Before I begin this review, I acknowledge that depicting depression in film is no easy task. There are some slightly funny and light-hearted moments however the script could have been written by a 14-year-old. Every scene was very easily predictable and corny. Wow, I can't believe an old grumpy man who has given up on life after his wife's death would begin to slowly lighten up throughout the movie..... I've never seen that before!!!
Tom Hanks is good in the film but he always is but my god, if Marisol was my neighbour and knocked on my door screaming my name I would probably hold a shotgun to my head as well.
And without a doubt, one of the worst scenes in cinematic history is the train scene like, please..... I know people are addicted to their phones nowadays more than ever but c'mon seriously there is no chance that about 30 people would just film and not help.
The movie is about 30 minutes too long probably because of the excessive flashback scenes.
In the end, like I said depicting depression in film is no easy task but I don't think I could bare to sit through this film ever again.
THIS FILM THE THE MOVIE REPRESENTATIVE OF IMAGINE DRAGONS. BORING AND CORNY BUT POPULAR
