Meh. Its trailers hyped it up. The initial love story did not feel real. When Beckett's love interest died, the audience does not feel anything. Because prior to her death, the conversations between her and Beckett were all over the place. The movie fails to establish concern in the audience for the couple. The trailer made it seem as if it would be a fast paced action movie. In reality the movie was slow. I never felt Beckett's desperation as he evaded the police, ran from one location to another searching for help. The feeling 1was just not there. Very generic plot. Protesting girls good. Embassy guy bad. The movie tried hard to up the tension but failed, in my opinion. Even Beckett's jump from the parking lot building was anti climactic. The whole movie was : Bad situation so run away. Ask for help from somebody. That somebody helps but is not enough. Villains catch up. Bad situation so run away. Just sprinkle two betrayels in between. Movie done. Avoid it. You may save two hours or three hours. I dont know. It is an absolute average watch.

Nowhere near the first film in its comic sense. Although the plot as a whole is contiguous but the sub plots and the ill fated adventures which makes up the main plot are jagged. It attacks one political idealogy and just skims over the surface of the opposing ideology. The synagogue scene acting seemed a bit too scripted. I laughed because of the anticipation of the goofs due to the first film not so much at the misadventures. In the first film, the lessons taught were subtle. In this one, they are in your face, Sacha seems tired, as if he lost the creative control of his film to someone. Still, I enjoyed the movie.

Not for me. I thought this movie was terrible. There's a feeling as if something is about to happen which will make me go 'aha' but it never happens. I get that it is an art film but my god is it boring. And what's with all that quoting of great authors and sociologists. Are we supposed to be in awe? Till a certain point it seems fine but then the quotes get burdensome as if the filmmaker is trying to be pedantic. I realised what was going on midway thru the film but I had to do a double take and watch a video explaining the movie to confirm it. I felt a nagging, uncomfortable weight on my head for sometime even after the movie was over. Terrible to the T. Some films are designed to make the viewer feel claustrophobic at the same time they are enjoyable, this one doesnot get enjoyable. I am not going to divulge any information to spoil the movie since there is nothing to spoil. Just one spoiler. Dont go in for the hype, reviews from reputed sources are misleading on this one.
