I am a Harvard psychiatrist, and I feel ashamed of this book. Dr. Roth has squandered his credentials and a long-respected career to advance a political agenda. Psychiatrists dispute among themselves what they can and cannot say about a public figure, but lay readers should know this book is pure nonsense. For a professional to peddle such false material, all enveloped in psychobabble so the public cannot tell the difference, is unquestionably unethical. Dr. Roth should also disclose that he is a staunch Republican, and that this publisher exclusively prints books with a right-wing agenda.
