Exceptionally lush, laden with feelings, and of course verve. Each frame mattered, each stare, sigh, and word uttered mattered. A kind of non-fat, vegan oeuvre.

A lushly told story tracing the antecedents of a settler-colonial “democracy”. It was, and IS, the most desirable position to be a step ahead of others-whether you know them or not. Coen Brothers are masters in contextualising what passes as a “norm”. Loved the film, and of course, my patron saint Tom Waits.
