Watched all 10 episodes of "Mozart in the jungle - Season 1". A "mixed" bag--the music, and the music-inputs are outstanding but on the flip-side, the director exposes unabashedly, the seamier side of high-society circles and the machinations and seedy politics that have permeated into all walks of Life. It is a "no-holds-barred" exposè on the hollowness of the bohemian lifestyles of the West. Kudos to the Casting team for selecting the right players for each role. Each one of them was a professional musician and each one's personality suited their respective roles. Wouldn't recommend this movie to young aspirants though, as it could put them off their musical journey.

What the hero did to his trusted assistant, Writer, was nothing but 'nambikkai droham'. Showing all characters, including Thamarai, just laughing it off shows the depths to which the show has degenerated. What are we trying to teach our audience? In the name of humor, anything goes? So what if good values get trampled? Buck up.

This started off as an excellent serial, but its success seems to have the adverse effect of the producers wanting to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the episodes endlessly for maximum mileage. Please do not test your audience's patience. This is becoming an insult to the watchers' intelligence too. Please try to salvage the situation before it is too late!
