I had hopes as a huge fan of the book. Even the 1994 miniseries did a decent job. This was a disaster however. Changing the timeline was a huge mistake. You knew all these characters lived and made it to Boulder so there was never any worry and you dont begin to care for the characters, unlike in the book. Then they gutted so many important parts of the story while spending too much on lesser aspects and characters. I wish someone would actually stick to his book. So much could've been done in 9 episodes, but this was not it.

This movie is so bad its funny. The acting is terrible, fight scenes laughably bad, the fake blood is worse than cheap halloween makeup, and the script can't be more than 20 pages long. This couldve been really good, but is only good as a bad laugh.

Norton was great, as were the set, costumes, etc. The plot was just not very compelling and too all over the place. Also I didnt really care about the characters as they were not well developed. Had high Hope's with this cast and actually couldnt finish the last 20 minutes as I just didnt care and it was too long without being compelling
