A movie like this would have worked in the beginning phase of marvel where. The storyline itself is a big massive cliché. The storyline just goes in a straight direction with little to no variations or twists making it very predictable. The only big twist that was present was the identity of Taskmaster, also which shouldn't be considered a twist as it did not at all affect the story or the outcome. Talking about the story, the story did tried to add stakes but it is an over done one, I mean how many times have you seen in a spy/superhero movie where a guy secretly is very powerful, influencial and needs to be taken down to save the world? Talking about the villain, he himself was a cliché spy movie villain, a Russian with thick voice. So overdone that it didn't feel threatening. The writers clearly did a bad job, not showing any inspiration of any kind, they lacked any will to explore, take risks. Everything was done in a very obvious manner, be it the 'big reveal' which didn't even seem to add anything to the storyline. It was like the writers sat in for 2 hours or 3 wrote the script and never thought about it again.

Well the season started off too much fast with episode 1, the things were happening too fast and all, but the series slowed down to the perfect pace, and then it was really amazing, the finale was even more brilliant. It makes you feel like watching the season 2 right now(SPOILERS AHEAD), what will happen, would John really join her team, or is just a big deception, if not, how will Cameroon manage to escape the prison, and so on. But the sad news is that the abc has cancelled Season 2, so to bring it back, please suggest your friends to watch it, please request them to bring it back and just imagine how amazing the series would be if we could see both MW and John working together.
