Why do 'establishment' US review sites so hate anything sardonic, subversive, sarcastic, anarchic, rebellious? It's dark-humored, anti-normal movies like these that stand the test of time.

It took two supremely talented writers, a genius of a director and a magically talented cast and crew to make this dream ring so true. Heresy to say it - but together they succeeded in beating the Bard at his own game - and if Shakespeare is watching this world from some other realm he'd happily admit it. But he can still take most of the credit - he did after all provide the raw material and the inspiration.

Fantastic, super-sharp film - brilliant acting, razor-sharp, highly imaginative and beautifully sardonic/satirical screenplay, and a delicious, in-yer-face anarchical attitude from all involved - anti-establishment satire for all ages and demograpics. With great music to boot - much of it original. No wonder that mainstream review sites give it low ratings! 30%-40% from the likes of Rottentimatoes, Imdb etc. (PS. Who now owns and controls these conformingly predictable review sites ? The Deep State? The Pentagon ? The "usual suspects" methinks...

Great ride..from Siberia to Cuba. Brosnan is suave but had great sense of self-irony(in real life too). Brosnan - the thinking man's/woman's/alien's Bond. And the Bondian quips are intended to be pretty cheesy, people ! Brilliant acting, great script, fast-paced, ingenious special effects - and Tina Turner performs great "grower" of a song with her usual high energy and explosive intensity. What's there not to love ? PG

Good film - but you have to adjust to the fact that Redford is not intended to be a very likeable character for much of the movie. But both Brad Pitt's and Redford's unquestioningly patriotic characters show belated signs of redemption and awakening in the final scenes.
