They dumb down your favorite character so they could butcher him like a dog. I have no issues with the killing itself but how it was done; to make it worst, they force you to play with the killer to try justify her action, and instead of elevating her, they just dunk the other main character to her level. The story does have its ups in the form of flashbacks about the relationship with Joel and Elly, but overall it is a stinky mess all over the place with no coherent dynamic nor build-up and A LOT of face slapping to the people that played the first game. Gameplay wise, it is solid with amazing graphics/ environments that allows you to tackle each situation however you want, it is not perfect and it might be a bit frustrating at times... but nothing game breaking. The story is what really killed this game royally, our favorite character deserved a more suitable death.
