Me and my father were expecting pretty good things with this movie. We hardly saw anything on this film, but we are a big fan of this old wise story. We were hoping that it would be similar to the classic story. Overall, extremely disappointed. Was not a fan of the old English language. I understand that this tale was created hundreds of years ago, but most people can't understand it in modern times. The characters mumbled a lot and it was very difficult to understand what they were saying most of time. Not to mention the echo that was occurring when the characters were talking. The plot didn't make sense and it was very difficult to follow. I didn't understand how Gretel was able to see certain things but not see the most obvious. We waited one hour for something interesting to happen, and LITERALLY NOTHING HAPPENED. On a positive note, the music was very nice to listen and fall asleep to. We ended up walking out of this movie because of how slow, confusing, and lack of tension (that was obviously trying to be created and pushed onto the audience) there was.
