This is pretty much an average Hallmark Christmas movie. Director Mariah shot her closeups with soft lighting in order to give more of a glow to her already gorgeous looks.

Sony Pictures have been consistently putting out these theatrical versions Lifetime TV movies marketed to African-Americans.Movies like this one and "The Perfect Guy","When the Bough Breaks" and so on.There all not very good and usually follow the same formula of a woman or family in jeopardy.

This film would have been so much better had Clint Eastwood used professional actors for the leads instead of non-professionals.That was the weakness of "Gran Torino" as well.

Horrible singing by the actors.One of the worst musicals ever put on film.I saw it in as a kid in 1969 and I thought it was bad then as well.All but one memorable song("They call the Wind Mariah") in the entire overlong film.
