.They say a sequel has to be better than the first one to be equally lovable. Well what can be said about a complete new Reboot?
.Completely different from it's masterpiece namesake, but equally mesmerising, Jaatishwar really captivates the audience from the word go. Depth of story, international grade music, with a special note on the bangali songeet, social struggles across the ages, apt cast and precise cinematography and screenplay. Total piece of gem. I have not seen any other Bangla movie with so much obsessive passion and ingenuity of a fiction.
.The only one thing I really disliked about the movie, (because of it's perfection in other areas, this flaw came out even larger) is the main female protagonist's hatred of other languages. It's kinda cliche. To seem cool among a Bengali audience, you kinda have to put down other languages. Being a Bengali myself, I don't think this is right at all. In fact, in a movie where it is shown language barrier is never bigger than the human heart, showing this typical trait should've been avoided.
.My Rating: 4/5.
