Christine Helzer

I am NOT a fan of Julia Roberts, but she is superb in this movie. All the acting is well done. It is realistic and brings out what it's like to have a child addicted to drugs. Hard to watch in that respect. One question: did Ben respond. I think so, but if so, happy should end happy.

Was moving right along, but ending was dumb. Pierce Brosnan was his usual reliable acting self. The other actors were fine. The unresolved script left me feeling I'd wasted my time. Reinforced my dislike for academia. Flakes teaching flakes and those who marry them....
