I loved it. It most certainly has that appalling Hollywood esque vibrance attached to it. But for somebody who had never read the book or seen the original motion picture prior to seeing this 2019 release, I liked it enough to become prompted to buy the book and the original movie. I undoubtedly love the book the most, but, dare I say, I believe certain elements of the remake to be better than the original’s? I recommend this title, absolutely.
