The Last Of Us Part 2 is a brilliant exploration of morality and perspective. It doesn’t treat the audience like fools, and it challenges the status quo with an innovative story. It’s visuals are some of the best in the industry, and combined with expert sound design, it almost makes you feel like you’re actually there, exploring the world. The gameplay takes what worked in TLOU and expands it, and it’s animation system is by far the most smooth I’ve seen in a game. Whilst the game is not perfect, and not as straight forward as the first game (which some may not like), it gives you everything you could want from a sequel, and more. When Naughty Dog said they expected the game to be divisive, they weren’t wrong. Though don’t be put off by out of context spoilers, because context does matter, and when it’s all added up, it equals a well thought out, gut wrenchingly dark story, that many will find themselves enjoying. I can’t say you will agree with all the plot points of the game, but just go into it with an open mind, and see how you feel.
