I heard of this movie from Ravishankar who is the Director and also my neighbour. As someone who loves Animation, I was looking forward to it. But what made it even more exciting was the fact that its the first Sanskrit Animation movie. From the get-go, you realize that the movie has some amazing background score - thanks to Ilaiyaraaja! What makes it engaging is the earthiness and simplicity of the Indian village life that is depicted in the movie. The story is simple yet thought-provoking. Overall, Punyakoti is a wonderful watch with its colorful and mesmerizing scenes and a strong message. Children and Adults will equally enjoy this one!
