I don't know how many of yas have watched the Netflix Series "Now They See Us", but it is a difficult watch. I realize it may be a sensationalized version of events the 'Central Park 5' went through - but the way the "Justice System" failed those boys is maddening. They were truly railroaded by a system rife with prejudice and corruption and it is disheartening to know that this happens ALL the time. I may be privileged enough to never experience the realities other cultures endure in the so called "Free" America's, but that doesn't mean the veil of ignorance blinds me to these realities. I long for a day when all of these constructs we're so proud of come crashing down around us. When we are all on a level field where race, gender, sexuality, religion and wealth no longer separate us, THEN - and only then - will we ever truly know equality.
