Similar formula to previous games. The Tiny Tina being dungeon master twist is novel and okay; I think that approach has more potential than the results here. Somehow this entry seems more tedious than previous Borderlands. Leveling is almost a burden; that is, enemies just spawn at your level or one above which scales your damage to about the same always which seems a bit lower than in the past. The only thing leveling does is make your old weapons obsolete and get you a skill tree point. I guess there's a story, but it's pretty weak. The Borderlands humor is showing it's age. All in all it's okay but I didn't have much fun playing it and did not finish it.

This game is painful to play on the PS4. I don't mean figuratively painful, I mean literally painful. The image is a bizarre mix of shifting blurriness combined with chaotic, strobe-like, seizure inducing pop-in. I have never seen a worse looking game.
