This is one of the best Spider-Man (Spiderman or Spider Man, I really don't know which to use) movies I have seen. The acting is top notch. Tom Holland and William Dafoe really shine in this movie. The action was thrilling, the CGI some of the best I have seen.
But there is a reason for the 3 stars. Another multi-verse like Spider-Man movie came out a few years back: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse(2018). It was an amazing movie. It brought in characters we had never met before and made a good number of them compelling. There are multiple web slinging heroes, but each one gets their own little montage/explanation. Considering the number of new character, even the protagonist, Into the Spider-Verse delivered on emotional levels I was not expecting. Spider-Man: No Way Home didn't, and considering the multiverse was one of it's selling points, that's not good.
POTENTIAL SPOLIERS (read at own risk)
I have seen all of the other Spider-Man movies starting Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield. My favorite of them was Spider-Man 2(2004). No Way Home brings villains and heroes from both of these movies. The nostalgia was amazing and those actors, William Dafoe mentioned again, did incredible jobs.
I really enjoyed No Way Home... because I have seen all of the other Spider-Man movies. But there are moments scattered throughout No Way Home that are direct throwbacks to those old movies. To someone who has not seen them, those moments, and some are very integral to the emotions of the characters, are only good. And that's it.
There is a scene where Andrew Garfield catches Zendaya (M.J.) as she falls and it is very emotional for his Peter Parker, because in The Amazing Spider-Man 2(2014), he fails to catch his love interest, Gwen Stacy. If you have seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2, then the scene hits right in the feels. If you haven't... it's a good moment and that's it.
3 Stars from me.
