This is a simply superb film, perhaps more meaningful to me, as part of my family is from Poland. I have to confess to having teary eyes for a lot of the film. The story itself is wrenching, and it conveys the type of deep seated suffering that people in that part of the world have endured for so many years, at the hands of Fascists, Communists, and other overwhelming forces. Do go see it if you have the chance!

I did not know Alita Battle Angle from Atilla the Hun, just happened to be home "sick" and saw a mostly favorable review in the SF Chronicle date book, well.....on that went to see it in IMAX 3D and all I can say is it was just absolutely fantastic. I did not see one of the critics grinds, for me it was a simply top notch from start to finish, a perfect mix of action, good emotion, and really superb effects and visuals, nothing gratuitous, all of it integrated into and perfectly supporting the story. If they had a sequel ready to roll, I would have gladly stayed in my seat for another few hours to watch that. A really great piece of movie making and story telling; as they say "that's entertainment"! Don't miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
