I think that, regarding any product in general, and Genre-related products (in this case, SF, Horror and Fantasy) in particular, they must be "Challenging" (in the broadest sense of the Concept). Interpretation and Constructive Criticism are able of adequately measuring the intrinsic quality of a given product (taking into account that it is a subjective process). And, regardless of each and everyone of us right to express our opinion, an "objective" judgment can be achieved. My opinion is that Genre-related products have lesser Quality with each day that passes, and that things are getting from bad to worse. There are low limits that can't, and must not, be tolerated (take as an example the quality of the service provided by a Health Care Professional like a physician, which I am). It is the ultimate responsibility, in this case, of both the makers and the audiences. And I think that presently we are both to blame. Make no mistake: It must be stopped.
