I have not watched any version of this movie... This was the first... I have read the book and I feel this movie fell short big time...acting was sooooo poor... Neither was convincing as Maxim De Winter or Mrs. De Winter.... Badly directed... All characters were unconvincing except Danvers... Only she stood out but what a pity that she was not given enough opportunity to showcase in the 2 hour bore...
