Hard hitting tense drama. Brilliantly acted. Cleverly scripted. Terrifying and moving. Well worth watching.

Brilliant. True to the book. Great portrayal of the characters. Very atmospheric. Great story telling.

What a disappointment and wasted opportunity to tell the history of the people of this valley. Ben Myers’s book is so interesting, he must be weeping into his coffee at the disservice this has done to his story telling. Modern day dialogue and terrible script put this into the ranks of totally dumbed down reality tv. Stuck it out until the last 17 minutes then could not take any more. The NHS managers should get in touch with the makers of this rubbish and commission the herbs used to cure this man’s stab wound, he made a miraculous recovery.

More like this please. Great film, well acted, well directed, with an intelligent script. Well worth watching, didn’t feel like two hours, really excellent job.
