I have no clue why this movie did not score higher- it was perfect. The location, the actors and characters they played, the theme and twists and plot all melted into a perfect concoction that was a nice different take on the traditional who done it! It was a bit slower paced than most who done its and less scary in my oppinion but I actually liked that. It was a nice mystery without having nightmares after. Loved it

I can't believe this movie has such a low score. I personally thought it was great.it has all of the strong elements of a really well thought out plot and the best elements a thriller has to offer really- that being likable detectives, deep plot, a script you can't guess the next move, even an almost likable quirky possible serial killer, team work, an amazing cast, unlikely friends and an ending that I did not expect.at the end of the day I was thrilled to find this story because I really liked it and if your a fan of true crime and thrillers than I imagine you'll appreciate it too!

Wow such a cute series! Immediately such a hooking tale. And they actually delivered in the storyline. If you watch it you will see what I mean without giving too much away. It has mystery, comedy, love, meaning, hope, and even magic- such a nice mysterious feel good comedy! Like many genres in one which is nice and something I didn’t know could exist. Really great characters as well. Whoever wrote this is fantastic. I recommend you watching this it will not disappoint. If the storyline piqued your interest at all- then you’ll love it. It’s a great show to watch to lift your spirits.I plan on watching it many more times to come and have already recommended it to some family I was so impressed- the only bad thing is there’s only 8 episodes! Such a great series!

Wow, just wow!!!! I’m obsessed! Typically this type of show is not my thing with the whole Addams family theme but I have to say that now I’m a fan, a huge fan! I loved it- the acting was great, the plot line amazing, the setting chefs kiss- I could honestly go on and on. She’s like a darker Nancy Drew- even though I’m sure Wednesday would hate that comparison lol. I am however, a sucker for mysteries and I loved how I could never guess the next move/ who the perpetrator/ suspects would be- I tried based on my instincts and they did a great job giving multiple great options for who you think either will be to keep you distracted and then all of a sudden it’s someone you would have never expected! I wholeheartedly enjoy a suspenseful mystery that even I can’t figure out. The music, the quirky darkness of wednesday was just great. I even loved “thing”- how can you give a literal hand so much personality that people love it? I don’t know but they did! I loved all the elements. Truly just so great- I need season 2 like right now- and 3 and 4 and 5 lol! Definitely watch if you haven’t- trust me you’ll be binging it in no time!

Hmmm. This is a hard one to review. First of all I liked it! Plot was solid and interesting. Second I personally liked the actors they chose, I thought they were good. However, I’ve seen others say there’s not a lot of character development and that would be right for most of the characters. I feel some of their stories should have been shown in a deeper way though they did try. Also the editing is a little strange in how they filmed certain things mostly the end. I expected some intense action and while yes intense it becomes it’s just a little strange how everything came together only in editing. The story was solid but they like pieced some of the clips together really weird and almost feels like they cut some of the clips short while doing a dramatic montage at the end of the movie to show what happens to everyone to a song that I unfortunately felt was a weird choice, I have no idea why but it felt out of place to me. I felt like also they advertised Colten baker and also sistene Stallone when I’m reality they had extremely minimal parts- I felt like they only used them for those parts for their status with the movie but in actuality gave them roles usually unknown actors would play since they are so minimal. Just my thought. And yes Bruce Willis role is also a bi t downplayed I also thought. With all that considered I still thought it was worth a watch and would still recommend it to someone wanting a thriller to watch.

A true and classic “who done it” murder mystery! If you like the old Agatha Christy or the many different forms of that story line then you’ll really enjoy this! I thought it was a fresh take on the classic tale. Yes you know the storyline in a way but they did a really good job to keep you totally unaware of the true menace until the very end, and I’m usually pretty good at guessing upfront and being right and I just couldn’t quite figure it out so I loved it! Actors were good and I just loved the fresh setting of being on the Nile in a Egypt- definitely a nice and new backdrop to the tale!

HORRIBLE. I honestly feel bad for the cast because I feel like while they were not real great, I feel like they didn’t have much to work with. I read that the film was suppose to be on sight in Vietnam but due to Covid had to reroute plans and basically do it all in a studio in Florida. Trust me it shows. The visual effects are awful. It’s like I’m watching a high schoolers homemade film. If that were the case I’d be impressed, but for a professional crew? It’s just embarrassing. One thing I also don’t like is most shots you are glued into just the two characters without being able to see anything else in the shots for example, the sky, the raft, the ocean. It’s mainly like they got tired of having to CG everything that they just zeroed in on the actors and called it a day. But when they do show the surroundings only like 5 shots does it actually look like they are where they seem to be. The beginning they are on a real beach for 5 minutes, the ending people are also on a real beach… actually I think that’s it. Everything else is a set and a bad one at that. It’s horrible. Even the water they are always in is dead calm like you can actually tell it’s a pool they didn’t even try to make it look like they could actually be in the ocean. When they show aerial shots of them in the water on a raft you can tell they literally had a scene of water and basically copied and pasted the raft over it like it’s laughable it’s even a film. A lot of it also makes me think of what a lucid dream would be like, not that I would know. She finally arrives on a beach, falls asleep and is suddenly in water again running from sharks again. Even the coral she runs through under the ocean looks computer generated- could they not use at least real props? Then she’s on a beach again but for some reason there is intensely think fog and then she sees a raft with someone in it so back into the pool water she goes to get to him- some more shark fighting and all of a sudden she’s in the middle of the ocean yet again- then all of a sudden can finally see the shore like what??? They even made fake blood spatter appear on the screen from the fighting. Ughh it’s awful and my last complaint was they continuously show the actors reacting to something and then show just a shot of what they are reacting to like a dolphin swimming or something, but you can tell it’s a completely different clip as the lighting is all different and the shade of water is all different, then they pan back to the actors like they are all together. It was so cringey. I honestly feel so mean for even leaving this review but it was just so bad not to. I only gave 2 stars cause I feel bad. Please spare yourself. I feel bad- I also think the actors are good in other things I’ve seen them in truly they have talent but this was just not good for anyone. But I don’t know that it’s even their fault cause again they were probably just doing the best they could on a raft in a pool. They were basically playing make believe and the director said we’ll add all that in later just make it look real. Poor actors. They should have just post poned the film until they could do it on location maybe that would have made a difference.

I liked it! I do however still have a few questions BUT in the movies defense I had to watch this movie over the course of 3 days thanks to mom duties and sleepless kiddos lol. And I also had to keep the volume pretty low all for the same reasons, so it’s entirely possible that I missed crucial moments that would have answered my questions. I’ll probably re watch it to see if that’s the case. I personally liked the feel of the movie it’s a great mystery in the sense of you can’t really see where it’s going, which personally takes a good story teller in my oppinion, cause I hate always being able to see what’s going to happen- so loved that. It’s murky, mysterious, has real grown up Nancy drew vibes if I do say so myself. Anyways. Why is it called “ the disappearance of Clifton hill” is that the name of the town and I just happened to miss it? Because I can’t figure it out. I’m also still slightly confused how all the pieces tied together at the end. Like I get all the pieces but how they connect for sure is still a little confusing to me. But with the last seen, it sort of derailed all my confusion because there was a twist even I an avid mystery movie watcher couldn’t see coming that derailed the actual “ conclusion” of the movie! Which I liked. Personally watch it it’s nice for a quiet rainy night with the lights low, a candle and bowl of popcorn!! You won’t regret it!
