I liked this show a lot. One thing I took into account when starting it was that many reviews said that they liked how the leafs stayed togather and there were no breakups. I was thinking that might make the show boring but in the end it wasn’t. There were times that I got bored of the “in game” scenes and would fast forward but the ones I passed were mostly side storylines. This was overall a very sweet show but there were two things I didn’t like
1. The leads were too perfect. Generally this is true for all romances but in O2O it is like the leads are both aliens. I feel like normally good romances have at least one moment where you are a bit upset with a lead character and the fact they are so perfect is a bit off putting
*spoiler ahead*
2. I was heartbroken when they never finished the Hao Mei x K.O. Ship. They were honestly more interesting than the leads and I’m super sad. I was reading people answer why and got the impression that it had to do with Chinese law. There were also some weird unanswered questions about K.O. He at times was a bit odd because he was a big stalker at times. It was revealed that he actually knew Hao Mei from a previous game. Did he find his information and pourposly star working at the restaurant? If that is true I’m less sure about how I feel. All I know is that K.O. Is probably the only self made character and I respect him more than the lead because the lead comes from a rich, well educated, family. Because this is already unorganized I’m going to throw in that the one flaw the main character did have was that he had very little personality and so it feels like he is an “ideal guy robot” which makes it harder to ship the two leads. I would say overall this is still pretty charming.
