Donna Matchette

A marvelous film, excellent acting by Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and Fredric March among other veteran actors. Watched on the eve of the elections, this is a timely film of a fictional, though realistic attempted military takeover of the US government. The thought, "but, that could never happen here!" would have you dismiss the film if seen before 2019. But the events of this past year, the surge of ultra extremist views that have threatened the Constitutional framework of our country make this almost 50 year old film very relevant today. Don't miss it.
