Good job with the representation of the black upper class. I’m happy to see this representation of black people. I’m so tired of the trope of us only making it in the entertain/ sports industries. We do finance, real estate, manufacturing, and farming as well. This representation of black and in business resonates with me. I read a part of the book when I was younger and I couldn’t finish it because it seemed so much like the white elite to me. It was about excluding people who didn’t fit a mold instead of helping your fellow black man when they are trying to pull themselves up. This series is an adaptation and better representation of us than what I remember from the book. I like it! I’m going to reread and finish the book now just because of this show to gain more perspective on the black upper class.
