Although it was interesting and kept my attention, its focus is on the opinions of one, albeit accomplished, doctor that many of her patients suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder). While I am not criticizing her opinions because I simply do not have the training or expertise to do so, I do know that MPD/DID is a controversial diagnosis among the relevant scientific community. I would’ve liked to see the film offer a wider range of opinions that certainly exist on this topic.

Simple, well done, and eye opening. Most everyone has heard of nuclear bombs and at least abstractly understands their devastating potential. But, (thankfully / knock on wood) these weapons nevertheless continue to be thought of only in theory, as their use is typically believed to be a far-off and unlikely occurrence. Trinity and Beyond changes that view by walking you through their history and giving you a very clear picture (literally) of just how powerful and scary these things are. Informative, super interesting, and in a way humbling to see how a creation of humankind could easily be the very thing that destroys it.

Before I watched this movie, I didn’t know it was possible to have goosebumps for a full 80 minutes. It was amazing to see scientists, who are often thought of as very linear-minded people, do in fact spend quite some time considering the more abstract questions that surround their collective work. It left me amazed, awe struck, and with some regret that I did not pursue a career in particle physics. Looking for an idea for a full night of nerding out?
