Zac Megeath

Now I loved the original lion king and it was my one of my favourite movies for a long time, this one though was pretty meh. Whilst it follows practically the same story the lack of artistic interpretation means the atmosphere and emotion of the first film is not well recreated and the characters have a lack of visual emotion when compared to the first iteration. That doesn’t make it bad per say because it does have some positives such as being visually stunning and an extreme nostalgia trip but other than that it’s kinda a 6/10 movie Overall, it’s worth watching to just see how amazing the animation is but if you wanted to introduce someone to the lion king for the first time I’d recommend showing them the original or the 2012 remaster
