But why so over the top. Just why?? I mean it seems as if the characters are dumbed down. I get it is parody/satire, I just didn't like all of the sophomoric silly-ness and cliche stereotypes. No sorry not for me.

Absolutely FABULOUS!!! Well worth adding to your home library. Filled with great performances all the way through. Mary Tyler Moore, Julie Andrews, Carol Channing...etc. Energetic and Exciting. This is one you add to your entertainment film bucket list.
