I first read this book when it was done as a comic and released on WEBTOON, and it was so amazing I bought the book immediately. This book is the perfect blend of everything. It has magic, politics, violence, romance, and it's done so well! The magic and futuristic themes were extremely interesting and well done. There was amazing world-building and complex, relatable characters. The politics were especially interesting to me, considering the magic. The political situation also seemed very realistic, handling refugees, viruses, and social justice issues. On top of an already amazing book, I was stunned by the diversity. I was so happy to read about a Jewish main character, and it didn't stop there. The LGBTQ+ themes also helped me relate more to Noam. This book is all-around a gorgeous masterpiece that I plan on rereading several times in the future.
