Wonderful cast, especially Andie MacDowell. The show depicts an emotionally abusive relationship where the couple were both victims of emotional abuse as children (one from an undiagnosed bi-polar mother, and the other from a drug-addicted mother). They continue the cycle of abuser and victim as Alex runs away with her daughter before the abuse can turn physical. I watched one episode after another, waiting to see if Alex is finally able to extricate herself from all the toxic influences in her life.

All of the peripheral characters are interesting, but I found it hard to watch Sweet Tooth himself. Frankly, he just comes across like an annoying, impulsive kid who just doesn't listen. I wanted to root for him, but then he would go and do something stupid to endanger himself and his friends in this dangerous apocalyptic world. I wish there was more story development about the virus and the initial round up of the hybrid babies, but the flashbacks of the characters' back stories did enough to answer most questions. I stuck it out because Pubba, Big Man, Dr. Singh, Aimee, and Bear kept the story interesting.
