This movie sums up Americas perception of themselves pretty damn well however I can't help but question why you would have eugenics without focusing on the real targets; the disabled, the stupid, the outcast. You would have better off doing a meritocracy based around the Nazi's sterilisation and euthanasia policies of the 1930s (because that was based on their "burden" on society, which is not dissimilar to this movie), with perhaps a one off "test" at the end to cull the remainder of the "stupid" (or whatever actual preference the fascists of the time have.) There is no coordinated selection "against", apart from the process being corrupt, and this is arguably the biggest missed opportunity of the movie.

Every single episode had me cringing. There was no character development. Miranda had some kind of mid life crisis and I was hoping so bad she would be played by Che because clearly Che wasn't serious enough and Miranda was completely childish and immature about her entire existence and don't get me started on the lack of effort she put into her own family, her son. Charlotte was bad to watch, very out of touch. She had some good parenting moments but incredibly superficial and materialistic. Carrie was the only character who had any of my respect. I balled my eyes out the entire 2nd episode. Then the final scene in the last episode, she hooked up with her producer? There wasn't even chemistry between them anywhere throughout the entire serious and then BAM! They suddenly hook up in the very last scene. WTAF?!?!?!?! The only good character in the series "and just like that" was Samantha. Thank God Kim said no. She would have regretted it.
