Better than the first one, this one actually has suspense and character attachment. I like that there are no sharks. They don’t always come to attack humans and whatever. I didn’t hate this but I wouldn’t watch it again. It’s corny, has too many lasting wide shots, and a lot of the character’s speeches and going off on their own was unnecessary. Side note: We all know someone that would be the Michelle in this situation lol

Uh, I kept seeing how this was a “thriller” and “intense” but while watching, I was waiting for those situations to appear. The idea was there, I mean open ocean stranded? Terrifying. But they weren’t worried about swimming the direction of the boat or worrying about their scuba air supply or how the hell they were going to make it back. They just sat and waited. There wasn’t any character development or chemistry between them. Overall, pretty dull. Gonna watch the second one now and see if it’s better and gives me the open ocean thrill I’m looking for.

It was an okay movie. But it’s hardly enjoyable to watch without Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers. All I could focus on was how terrible Shaggy’s voice actor was.

I liked this movie but I’m a sucker for disaster movies. I can overlook some of the storyline flaws. *spoilers* I definitely would’ve liked the movie to last a little longer and see what they do after the rescue. Like if Nelson went to see Elenas brother in the hospital and told him how hard she fought to try and make it to him. Or have it reveal what the heck Dylan does and how he knew Roger before the ship at Rogers funeral or something? Or a memorial for Jennifer’s dad at her wedding. Just simple things but I’ll just pretend all of those things happened lol.
