The creators are kidding themselves if they think they care about social stigma for dark skinned people. If they really cared about this social issue they would have hired an actual dark skinned actress to play the lead and not made a fair skinned actress unnaturally dark using hideous makeup. I am sure they have plans in future to show the fair skinned version of her to pander their small-minded audience.
