I lived the 70s, 80s and 90s, and wasn't a fan of Freddy or Queen at that time. Have no idea why now! (Boy did I miss out!) But just a few months ago, I was introduced to Freddy all over again, and I was completely awestruck! What a beautiful talent he was, and a lovely person. I've listened to most of his music, and read a lot about him since then, and still can't get over what an extraordinary man he was. The love he had for Mary just makes my heart melt! How fortunate they were to have had each other. The movie is just an extraordinary story of Freddie's passion for his music, life, loves, and Mary. - I was saddened towards the end tho, after he had left Queen, Mary had moved on (somewhat), and he was very alone, ill, vulnerable and being taken advantage of. The movie did cheer up somewhat after that awful piece, however, when he went back with Queen and on to dominate Live Aid. All in all it was a good movie, excellently played out by the actors, and as good a biography as could be done, without actually being there. Glad I saw it. A remarkable and kind talent. Wish he was still here to give us even more of what he did.
