I thought this one of the better films viewed so far this year - caught on Amazon Prime, and well worth the rental. Some reviews criticised its soppy plot and subplots and several scenes could have been developed but go no where, for example, the Syrian lad attacked and filmed by school boys and the killing of the main characterโs canine companion. Hats off to Dave Turner, the lead, understated and multi layered. OK, no way as memorable as the harrowing I, Daniel Blake nor as unforgettable as Kes (seeing this at the cinema as a kid was an incredible experience) but decent all the same. Recommended
