Not a great version of the fabulous story of The Secret Garden. For one, the acting isn't that good and although Mistlethwaite Manor looks grand, the surroundings look odd and the gardens are so obviously somewhere else completely. Having seen the black and white Margaret O'brien version many times and loved it, this version pales into comparison. There was a lot more atmosphere and mystery to the old film much like the book. I felt even the tv series from the 70's was better than this film.

Absolutely ridiculous story. So far fetched it was comical. Waste of time really. I certainly won't be reading any of the books if this fiasco is anything to go by.

Seeing as this film was released in 1974 it was really well done and it probably should not be looked at retrospectively. Olivia Hussey and Margot Kidder are excellent in their roles and the obscene phone calls that the girls receive are very disturbing, indicating a truly psychotic maniac on the other end of the phone. There are some amusingly dry moments too with the House Mother and Margot Kidder's character. The ending is quite exciting with a bit of a twist at the end so I can see how it inspired the slasher film genre. I have yet to see the two remakes.

I enjoyed this series, dont care what the "critics" say. I felt it got better as it progressed and the main female character Chase was great. It's just a shame it did not run for longer, developing the characters more, it felt rushed. But still an enjoyable bit of fun and I really like the concept.

I'm really enjoying the show. Great action, fun storyline and the fight scenes are done really well. A good piece of escapism. But the music!! Omg that's the only drawback. Drawn out painful segments of rap which is quite pointless and frankly irritating. Apart from that, love Wu Assassins.
