fabulous book, read the reprint in 1989. Such an insightful look at Picasso's work, the first seriously critical look at it. Berger doesn't kowtow to the Master Genius cult and looks incisively at the work itself and not the personality. He gives credit where credit is due, to only some parts of Picasso's output. It was prodigious and not all of it was great.
