Willem Dafoe's portrayal of Vincent Van Gogh is extraordinary. If you love Van Gogh's art, go meet the man. The surreal insights into Van Gogh's personal struggle to stave off insanity through his art are heartbreaking; the artist’s isolation and social disconnection are palpable. I left disturbed and enlightened and grateful for the experience.
