From the beginning, Jesse Pinkman was my favorite character, next to Saul Goodman. For many years, I have wanted to see what would happen to Jesse, for his character has always been one of the only few left with a conscience. His relentless determination to always try to be better even when confronted with disaster has always been something that has remained an important story beat, allowing the show to stay grounded. This follow up, after a second viewing, has been satisfying, but not my favorite. I was glad to see him finally achieve some level of success, but he was only able to do so by breaking more bad. I would have preferred a story that involved more of Skinny Pete and Badger, for they were two incredible characters. This film was like an above average episode of Breaking Bad. I expected a little better. It was still very well executed.
