Gripping movie no doubt, but felt sad at the archaic and retrograde portrayal of a psychiatric facility. The use of the word Asylum, which is now outlawed, the portrayal of ECT as a punishment or reformatory method all left a bad taste. ECT being of immense therapeutic utility in the right patient, viewers of this movie would become prejudiced against it.
